In the spirit of our convention theme, Facing the Future – Together, ANA is bringing Gordon Borrell, a nationally celebrated authority on media trends and understanding marketing and revenue opportunities available for newspapers. Newspapers are encouraged to sign up early as information about their specific market will be included in his workshop if they are registered by September 1.
More national experts will be speaking on Sales CRM Best Practices, Subscriber & Reader Loyalty/Retention Program, and Kevin King, from Column, a public notice platform used by ANA as well as a growing number of press associations.
There’s more! … local media experts presenting seminars in journalists and Twitter, political advertising, converting press releases into editorial stories, and newspaper newsletters. Plus a special guest, Assistant Chief Wessing of the Mesa Police Department, hosting a seminar on: Crime Scene Safety & Tips for Covering the Police Department.
Check out the training and seminar schedule.
And not least, there are the two highly anticipated Award Ceremonies: a luncheon for the Excellence in Advertising Contest winners; and new this year, a sit-down evening dinner where we’ll announce the Better Newspapers Contest category winners and Newspapers of the Year.
Thank you to everyone who participated in our 2021 BNC and Excellence in Advertising competitions. Entries will be judged by this year’s contest partner: Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association.

The 2020 ANA BNC and Excellence in Advertising Awards

We wish to thank our members who participated in the contests, the New Mexico Press Association for judging, and everyone who helped produce the live presentation on our Facebook page. Thank you for watching our live stream event on Oct. 15, 2020.
