2017 Arizona Scholastic BNC Contest Packet


Arizona Newspapers Association invites all high schools across Arizona to take part in the 2017 Scholastic Better Newspapers Contest (BNC). There are two judging divisions: large schools (5A, 4A); and small schools (3A, 2A, 1A).

The Scholastic BNC seeks to promote excellence in scholastic journalism by recognizing student’s outstanding work in editorial matter, news writing, photography and typography/design of school newspapers.

Entering is an easy process – just send four copies of your school’s publication for the August 2016 – May 2017 school year. Entry fees have remained a very affordable $10 per school. To download a copy of the 2017 entry packet, click here.

The Scholastic BNC Awards will be presented during the ANA Fall Convention, Saturday, September 30, at the Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino, in Chandler.
